Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019

Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019

On the 15th October 2019 I was invited to the awards ceremony at the Natural History Museum in London as I had been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for my photograph ‘Cat and Dog Spat’, showing a conflict between a male cheetah and a pack of African wild dogs. I took the photograph in the Zimanga Private Game Reserve in KZN, South Africa.

This Encounter between a Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) and a Pack of African Wild Dogs (Lycaon pictus) was photographed in Zimange Private Game Reserve, KZN, South Africa. The photograph was taken from a vehicle. The photograph was recorded as a Raw image on a Nikon D4s camera using a Nikon 400mm f2.8 lens. Post production involved level adjustment, adjustments to contrast and sharpening and cropping.
